Is Matchday Legends really free?
Yes. Founding a club, league play, LIVE matchdays, the transfer market and the cup are all completely free — no ads, no subscription and no pay-to-win advantages for anyone.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The football manager runs entirely in your browser, on desktop and on mobile. On a phone you can also add Matchday Legends to your home screen as an app (PWA) — no app store needed.
How much time does a season take?
The online league plays two matchdays a day (10am and 8pm) — ten minutes daily is enough. In solo career mode you simulate as fast as you like, half a season in one evening if you want.
Are there real clubs and players?
No, every club, player and league is fictional. The economy behind them is still realistic: TV money, transfer fees, wages and bonuses all scale with division, player quality and success.
Can I play in a league with friends?
Yes. An online league holds 18 clubs and the AI fills any open spots, so you can join together and battle across four divisions from the regional league up to the championship trophy.
